[NEWS] 130420 U-KISS to Embark on Japanese Tour in July
U-KISS’s ZEPP tour will be held in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka, Hokkaido and Aichi. Over five billion won (approx. $5million USD) has been placed in production costs. With an endless amount of activities, upon completion of the ZEPP Tour U-KISS will also be getting ready for their Super Arena Tour.
U-KISS has recently released their third full-length album ‘COLLAGE’ in Korea, and are now preparing for their group’s first sub-unit debut. Members Eli and AJ will begin their sub-unit activities in May. The sub-unit will also have a special feature of vocalist member, Kevin. Upon hearing the news of the sub-unit, fans have been sending lots of support on Twitter and their official home page.
uBEAT worked with Brave Brothers on their title track “Should Have Done Better”, and it will be released with their first mini-album on April 22.

[NEWS] 130420 U-KISS’s Eli Reveals, “First Time KiSeop Buys Meal for Members in 6 Years”
On Y-STAR’s ‘ShikShin Road’, to be broadcasted on April 20, featuring Eli and KiSeop reveal a long-kept secret.
In this broadcast, it is revealed by Eli that KiSeop closely checks the prices of the menu at every time to see if he is overcharged. A special meal story with U-KISS was told, “That one time (he paid) for U-KISS’s meal wasn’t a joke. We could only eat it if it was cheap enough”.
Eli commented on KiSeop’s personality, “Out of all the members, KiSeop is the most stingy. During the past six years, he has only bought us a meal once”, “Until now he still carries the receipts with him”.
Even after that situation KiSeop hasn’t change, so since then KiSeop bears the nickname “ShikDae (Food Expense) KiSeop’.

[NEWS] 130413 uBEAT to Debut at M!Countdown Taiwan
U-KISS’s first sub-unit group ‘uBEAT’ will be unveiled first in Taiwan.
U-KISS’s representative agency NH Media stated this afternoon,“uBEAT will be revealing their first stage at MNET M!Countdown’s special global edition in Taiwan on April 25”.
uBEAT consist of members Eli and AJ. U-KISS’s Kevin will also be featuring in their first release.
The members stated, “Since the very first uBEAT performance will be overseas, we’re a little nervous. But since U-KISS has already acquired a lot of experience with performing overseas, we can be confident to give a perfect performance”.

[NEWS] 130408 U-KISS’ first sub-unit ‘uBEAT’ to debut this April
U-KISS is set to unleash their first ever sub-unit and they’ll go by the name of ‘uBEAT‘!
NH Media confirmed on the 8th, “U-KISS’ first sub-unit uBEAT will debut at the end of April.”
As you can already guess, ‘uBEAT’ stands for ‘U-KISS’ and ‘BEAT’, and is comprised of members Eliand AJ with a featuring from main vocalist Kevin.
uBEAT have also teamed up with the hit-making producer Brave Brothers behind their hit song “Man Man Ha Ni” for their upcoming single, leaving fans eagerly anticipating this debut.

[NEWS] 130314 U-KISS and Yurisangja to star on upcoming ‘Immortal Song 2′ special!
Earlier this year in our prediction article, we’d hoped that U-KISS would get a chance to appear on ‘Immortal Song 2‘. Well, that hope has turned into reality as the boys will be starring on an upcoming special.
Both U-KISS and Yurisangja will be featured guests on the upcoming ‘Women Generation Special’.
A representative from ‘Immortal Song 2′ stated, “U-KISS and Yurisangja will be guesting for the first time on the ‘Immortal Song’ Women Generation Special filming that will occur on the 18th. Their performance is a one-time special performance. Davichi, Narsha, and Yoon Hyung Ryul will also be featured on the show. The show will be centered around trot songs that the women of this generation like.”
Even though it’s not a permanent spot for them, hopefully this is a step in the right direction! The episode will be airing on the 30th.

[NEWS] 130312 UKISS, Sorry for the international promotions… Plans for a sub-unit?
Idol group UKISS has finally made a comeback after a year and a half. As the youngest member Dongho officially became of age, all members have now entered their 20’s, and can now “comfortably” showcase sexier concepts.
March 7th UKISS revealed their 3rd full album, ‘Collage.” The title song, ‘Standing Still,’ is of progressive house style is a music genre that has never been introduced to Korea before. Through impressive body waves and dance moves full of emotion to the fingertip, this song portrays a man’s sincere confession towards his lover.
“I’m finally 20 years old this year. (Applaud) Why I’m telling you this, is to prepare you guys for the more upgraded performances we plan to show you. Our album ‘Collage,’ as unique as the name suggests, is composed of a wide variety of styles and colors. There are fun, upbeat songs, and ballads as well, a lot of great songs. You won’t get tired of this album; there is so many different styles to listen to.” (Dongho)
In an effort to ameliorate their performances and vocal skills, UKISS has worked very hard in their time of inactivity, to come back better than ever. Rather than the powerful dance moves expected from UKIS, this song was enhanced more through accentuated body motions. Their point dance move is noted by standing in a ‘V’ formation, popping their shoulders left to right, along with their feet to the beat of the song.
“We were really excited to show all our fans what we had prepared. Despite of how long it has been since we had performed on stage, we were very touched to realize all the fans that enjoyed our performances. To be honest, we did feel a bit worried that we weren’t going to able to meet everyone’s expectations of us.”(Soohyun)
After 6 years have passed since their debut. Instead of the rookie label placed in front of UKISS, it is more fitting to see them as experienced. Rather than being known as idol groups in the music industry trying to “survive” by seeking numbers in charts, they are known as the idols who seek fans who will show interest in them and enjoy their music. The key element is that they know the importance of those that support them unconditionally.
“Now we are happier to hear that more and more people are pleased with our music, rather than how well we chart. We want to show our fans, as well as those who may not have known UKISS, how much we have progressed since our debut, how much we have improved. It would be an honor for us to be called as the skillful idol group with the exceptional songs.” (Kiseop)
Japan, China, Indonesia, South America and more, there are good news for many domestic fans that were distressed from the amount of UKISS’ international activity. After 3 months of vigorous and consistent promotions, UKISS hinted that in the near future, the later half of 2013, they will return to meet their fans as sub-unit groups promoting in Korea. The details are yet to be released, but the news has gotten the members thrilled.
“This year we think probably there will be sub-unit promotions, although I can’t tell you for sure that this will happen… (laughter). Because we have certain members preparing for musicals and for dramas or movies, I think [sub-unit promotions] will be coming up very soon. We even have more international activities prepared for all of our fans, so we ask of you, your continuous support for UKISS. We are speechless in how grateful we are of our supporters. [NEWS] 130221 U-KISS′ Agency Sets Up New Company with an Actor Agency
NH Media, the agency of renowned idol group U-KISS, has set up a joint stock company with Major Entertainment.
According to Hong Jong Gu, head of Major Entertainment, he recently registered the incorporation NH&Major1998 with NH Media rep Kim Nam Hee.
Major Entertainment holds Song Seo Yeon, who has been appearing in KBS′ Cheer Up, Mr. Kim, and Kim Yu Hyun, who recently appeared in the drama Jeon Woochi.
Hong Jong Gu commented, "Major Entertainment has mostly centered its business on managing actors, and with NH Media, which boasts years of experience in album production, the two companies will be able to grow into a general entertainment agency by securing many areas with their expertise."
He added, "NH&Major1998 will be entering many more areas in entertainment, such as album production, actor management, drama production, concert production and content management. We′ll work hard to cultivate many more skilled rookies in pop culture and also attempt to draw in other stars currently active in the scene."
Kim Nam Hee is a veteran producer who has produced for such big names as Im Chang Jung, UN, Yang Dong Geun and Paran. Hong Jong Gu has worked with Go Soo and Hwang Soo Jung.

[NEWS] 130119 U-Kiss at the Press Conference for the 2013′s Dream K-Pop Fantasy Concert
Guess who is back?
U-Kiss was in Philippines for the FOURTH TIME and will be one of the acts head-lining the Dream K-Pop Fantasy Concert in Manila. K-popped! was fortunate enough to attend the press conference where they talked about how Filipino Kiss-Mes, their comeback, cheesecake and making chocolates!

Do they miss the Philippines?
Why, of course they do?! Kevin mentioned that he missed their fans since they have not been able to visit the Philippines for a while now. He also missed Filipino food and has yet to sample anything this time around as they have just landed not too long ago. Despite that, he still manages a “mahal kita” (I love you”) when asked if he remembers any of the local phrases. Additionally, Kevin said he feels that there is a special connection between U-Kiss and their fans here because the country is where the group had their first major solo concert, “U-KISS First Kiss Tour in Manila”. Kevin also mentioned that the group hopes to return for a “Second Kiss Tour”.
Eli was also glad to be back adding that he is happy to enjoy the warmer weather in the Philippines. He realises it is the cold season here but it is much colder in Korea now!
What does Hoon feel about being in the Philippines for the first time?
Hoon shared Kevin’s enthusiasm and was excited to see so many fans as it is his first visit to the country. Besides that, he was excited to show off his best side at the concert.
How different is U-Kiss from the last time they were in the Philippines?
Eli stated that there has been a lot of growth, evident especially in DongHo, who is now officially an adult (“and is able to legally purchase alcohol now”, Kevin jokingly pointed out)! Adding to that, although AJ is now studying in America, the members have been able to spend more time together and bond with one another.
SooHyun also mentioned that they have been touring quite a bit and definitely matured, “hopefully it will show during the concert to be held on January 19th”. Moreover, U-Kiss is in the midst of recording for their comeback set for March! Hence, fans will be able to gauge their changes then.
Fan Question: If you are able to describe the person to your left as a dessert, what would it be?
Kevin: Well, Hoon is like a cheesecake. Soft, gentle on the mouth (whoops, just gentle, I mean), easy-going and generous!
Hoon: Soohyun is chocolate! Because his voice is sweet and velvety, just like chocolate, especially when he sings!
Soohyun: I would describe Kiseop as a strawberry; sweet and sexy!
Kiseop: DongHo is like soft ice-cream because his hair and his eyes/stares are very soft!
DongHo: *contemplates* Eli is like coffee because he is addicting and handsome. Similar to the unforgettable aroma of a good coffee, Eli is unforgettable as well, once you have met him.
Eli: Wow, thank you, Dongho! I would say Kevin is like apple pie because when it is baked, it is very sweet and warm, just like Kevin. A very sweet and warm-hearted person.
Before you go, any messages for fans for the coming Valentine’s Day?
DongHo cheekily says it would be great if Kiss Mes make chocolates for him! As much as he would like to spend the V-Day with all their fans, he couldn’t. So, he reckons the best way fans can celebrate the Valentine’s Day would be to spend time making chocolates for him and then enjoying them while thinking about U-Kiss. That way, the fans and U-Kiss will be in each other’s hearts.
Last but not least, do they have any advice for aspiring artistes?
“Work hard and don’t give up,” says Soohyun. Wise words indeed. Soohyun thinks it is important to continuously exert your effort into something that you love doing and to keep following your dreams!

[NEWS] 121128 U-KISS had dinner with lucky Kiss Me’s
A picture of U-KISS‘s special fan meeting has been gaining attention.
On November 28th, a picture of the special fan meeting was revealed through U-KISS’ official Twitter and sparked the jealousy of fans all around the globe.
Rather than holding a fan meeting in a grand, elaborate dining hall, the group decided to spend some up close and personal time with their fans.
U-KISS has not had time to meet with their fans due to their busy overseas schedules, so the members proposed that they have a meal with the fans. Thus, a number of lucky fans were invited to have dinner with the boys and in commemoration, and they took a snap shot of the enjoyable occasion
